Ernest James (Poon) Ellington, 59, of Roanoke accepted the Master’s call early
Sunday Morning, February 1, 2009. He was born September 9, 1949. Earnest was a 1968 graduate of Lucy Addison High School and
a Master Barber for over 25 years. Those left to cherish his memory are his sisters, Edith O. Ellington and Pamela Ellington-Armah;
aunt, Rosa Jean Davis; special nephew, Christian Armah; nephews, Daniel Ellington Jr.and Shonelle (LaShonda) Ellington; nieces,
Tiffany and Angela Ellington ; a very, very special friend, Edith Johnson and a host of other relatives and many, many caring
friends. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, February 6, 2009 at Abundant Grace Assembly with Bishop Delmar Jackson,
officiating and Bishop Shadrack Brown Jr., eulogist. The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. Thursday, February 5, 2009

Ms. Barbara A. Morris, 59 of Roanoke passed away Wednesday, January 28, 2009. She
was born Dec. 1, 1949 to the late Christopher Clark and Mary C. Jones Payne. She was employed with the U.S. Attorney's
Office in Roanoke until retirement. She was also predeceased by her father who raised her, Mr. Robert Payne. Survivors include
2 sons, Stephen Morris and Cleveland Robert Morris of Roanoke, 2 brothers, Robert Clark of Minnesota and Norvell Clark of
Beckley, WV, sister, Kay Barnes of Roanoke, |

A funeral service will
be held Tuesday, February 3, 2009, 11:00AM at Pilgrim Baptist Church, interment will follow in Williams Memorial Park. The
family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service. Friends may call at Serenity Monday 12-8PM for viewing.
